Andrew E. Busch is a professor of government at Claremont McKenna College, and his writing credits up until now have been academic non-fiction. He has authored, co-authored, or edited more than 20 books on American politics and public policy. Melinda K. Busch is a former teacher who has written for children in the past, including four Arch Books with Concordia Publishing House and a self-published picture book, The Maiden and the Toad (2017). She has also written short stories for three Whitstead anthologies. Together, in 2018, they edited and self-published This Week in Estes Park, a compilation of essays on the history of Estes Park, Colorado, written by Andrew’s father Mel Busch.
Andrew and Melinda have raised three children and are now happily involved in the lives of their two adorable grandchildren. Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, they both received a B.A. at the University of Colorado. Andrew has a Ph.D. in Government from the University of Virginia, while Melinda earned an M.A. in education from Concordia University-Portland. They currently live in Southern California with their three crazy dogs. They love reading, traveling, and singing in their church choir.
